Snowy Days Galore!

Good grief!

So much snow and no school for a whole week.

See below photos for Snow Makeup Dates

This is my house.

This is what I see when I look out my window.

Many thanks to the snow plow drivers,
especially our own Busy Bee dad,
who made it posssible to get out.

We Are Authors and Illustrators!

We made a new book, "The Okay Book", in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. We wrote about lots of ways we are different from other people, and that it's okay to be different.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are also starting to publish the stories from our Draft Books! Two kids a day are typing their stories on the computer, printing the pages, stapling them into a cover, illustrating the pages and reading their stories to the class. Keep an eye out for these treasures to come home so the author can read to YOU! Pretty exciting!

Notes From Mrs. Seater

Hi There, First Grade Busy Bees, Families and Friends!

January 2, 2012

Happy New Year! I hope you've had a good break together and that 2012 will be a wonderful year for you!

I hope you've had a chance to read with your child during the break; it's the best possible way to help your child become a reader, too! Thanks!

Needed for our classroom. Can you help us out by donating old sets of dominoes for a math game? The sets don't need to be complete. Thanks!

Needed for our classroom. Can you help us out by donating an old checkerboard for a math game? We don't need the checkers, but I'm sure we'll be able to think of a use for them if you happen to have some. Thanks!

We love our Busy Bees!
