Take Apart Center ~ January

We spent the month of January taking apart old appliances to see what was inside them. We found gears, wires, screws, batteries, rubber numbers, dials, computer chips, rubber bands, grease, bells, and more. We used real tools and safety goggles. We learned the names of the tools, saw how the gears work, and learned about unscrewing lots of little screws. For the screws, we learned to say, "Lefty loosy, righty tighty" to help us remember which way to turn them.Thank you for all the donated machines to take apart!

We used some of the inside parts to build a robot! Be sure to look at the pictures on our Robot Building page!
